Spoudason is a Greek word meaning “to be diligent”.

This class is for the serious Bible student who wants an answer to the question, “What does the whole Bible teach us today?” about any given topic.  Systematic theology involves collecting and understanding all the relevant passages in the Bible on various topics and then summarizing their teachings to know what to believe about each topic.  Pastor Townsend facilitates this class, bringing other theologians and their perspectives to the table.

Conference Room

This adult Sunday school class meets in the conference room at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays.  The class uses The Present Word curriculum from PC (USA).  The curriculum seeks to facilitate mastery of Bible content, understanding the Bible in relation to life experiences and a greater awareness of God’s self disclosure, especially God’s redemptive work in Jesus Christ.  The Present Word emphasizes the Bible as the major source of our understanding of the Christian Faith.  Lessons give attention to issues such as personal faith, ethics, relationships, community responsibility, resurrection hope and discipleship.
